Ned Kelly Short-list

Very pleased to have been shortlisted for a Ned Kelly, alongside two terrific novelists - PM Newton ( http://pmnewton.blogspot.com/p/old-school.html ) and another South Freo boy - Alan Carter, whose Prime Cut has been doing incredibly well ( http://www.fremantlepress.com.au/books/1229 ). Also very pleased for Angela Savage, whose wonderful The Half Child I reviewed earlier, and who's become an online mate (looking forward to meeting her and Andrew Nette in person), who's also been shortlisted in the main category alongside Chris Womersley's Bereft (again, reviewed on this blog sometime earlier.) Something in the water this year in W.A. David! You and Alan Carter. Congratulations, and good luck.

It's superb news about Angela, isn't it. That gives her two for two.
